The firms Abell Crozier Architects and Architects Southwest have merged to become ACSW Architects. We are now one of the largest and most capable firms in the region. The merger of our two teams brings complementary professionals together for exponential growth.

Our History

ACSW was formed by the 2020 merger of Abell + Crozier Architects and Architects Southwest, both of Lafayette, Louisiana. Abell + Crozier Architects and Architects Southwest operated independently for 17 years and 40 years respectively.

Abell Crozier Architects, known for planning and designing of educational facilities, healthcare institutions, commercial buildings and religious environments, was founded in 2002. Its clients include the State of Louisiana, City/Parish of Lafayette, the University of Louisiana, Lafayette Parish School System, and local parochial school systems.

Architects Southwest is nationally recognized for its work utilizing Smart Growth approaches, particularly involving traditional neighborhood developments including River Ranch and Sugarmill Pond. Their portfolio consists of educational, cultural, and financial projects. Its clients include the University of Louisiana, Southwest Louisiana Community College, and Acadiana Center for the Arts.
