Veterinary Associates of Acadiana

The Veterinary Associates of Acadiana acquired a piece of property in a fast growing portion of Lafayette. Accessibility and visibility of the site makes for a viable investment for the growing practice. The main program of the Veterinary clinic is for general and emergency treatment of both domestic and exotic pets.
The spaces include a waiting room for patients, multiple private exam rooms, a laboratory, treatment area, grooming station, multiple boarding rooms, and administration offices.

The exterior of the Clinic utilizes a modern farmhouse aesthetic with a wooded area providing the backdrop. The windows are placed to allow for natural sunlight to flood the interior spaces. Metal and wood accents, along with a mix of vertical and horizontal siding captures the essence of the client’s targeted aesthetic. The client was highly interested in being involved with the interior finish selections with ACSW’s interior designer. This created a seamless selection process and in return, satisfied the client’s design vision.

The project delivery methodology for the Veterinary Associates of Acadiana was a Design-Build method. With this methodology, the client was more involved with the design and construction than the traditional method. This in turn, resulted in a more satisfactory end product for all parties involved.
