Martial F. Billeaud Elementary

Martial F. Billeaud Elementary School was designed to accommodate the quickly growing population on the south side of Lafayette. The school will accommodate nearly 1,000 students in this new facility that features large expanses of natural light to stimulate student learning.

Billeaud Elementary will be the cornerstone of a roughly 82 acre traditional neighborhood development immediately adjacent to the school. The intent was to create a “neighborhood school” to better serve the future residents of the community. Designers worked in unison to ensure that both the school and neighborhood would work in harmony to complement each other.
